UK artists Laura Alice and Phonetix have joined forces on new single ‘Be OK’ on NUVOLVE.
Brimming with fresh, infectious 2-step energy, ‘Be OK’ pairs bumping Garage beats with Phonetix’s slick vocals. It sees both artists make their NUVOLVE debut, and follows releases from a huge host of rising stars and more established acts, including Matt Jam Lamont, Para, Nautica, WZA, MPH, In4mous Goose, BWK, Jay Colyer, Hybrid Theory, Hi Top, Sampladelic & The Phat Controlla, Smokey Bubblin’ B, Smasher and Tuff Culture as the label continues its rapid ascent through the ranks of British dance music.
A rising star in the world of underground dance music, Laura Alice’s debut single ‘Hold Me’ caught the attention of SHOSH, Bklava and Jaguar and landed her guest spots on Kiss 100 and Rinse FM. She has since released four further singles via her LAM imprint, drawing support from DJ EZ himself.
Having initially been showcased on Kiss 100 by EZ during Garage’s forgotten years, Phonetix has been a mainstay in the scene for the better part of two decades, releasing countless singles, bringing through a raft of younger talent via Riddler Records and engineering for other artists.
Launched last year by DJ EZ and his long-term friend and manager Paul Marini, NUVOLVE has emerged as one of the frontrunners in forward thinking UKG. The new imprint has already harnessed talent from some of the scenes legends such as Todd Edwards, Smokey Bubblin B and Club Asylum right through to up-and-coming future stars like SHOSH, MPH, Sampladelic, The Phat Controlla and Fabian Dubz. The label aims to truly encompass DJ EZ’s love for all forms of electronic music from garage to bass and everything in between.
With a seemingly never ending supply of cutting-edge dance jams, NUVOLVE has quickly cemented its position as one of the UK’s most crucial electronic imprints.
