Birmingham producer BWK Project and Hull singer-songwriter Sarah Etheridge have joined forces on new single ‘There For You’, out 11th June on NUVOLVE.
An infectious, club-ready 2-step jam, ‘There For You’ pairs a bumping, groove-laden production with the sugary, pitch-perfect vocals of Sarah Etheridge. It follows releases from Jay Colyer, Hybrid Theory, Hi Top, WZA, MPH, Sampladelic & The Phat Controlla, Smokey Bubblin’ B, Smasher and Tuff Culture as NUVOLVE continues its rapid ascent through the ranks of British dance music.
Drawing inspiration from the 2-step side of UKG, BWK has released music on labels such as FOUR40 Records, Strictly Flava and Beastwang, with his tracks receiving DJ support from scene legends DJ Q, Matt Jam Lamont and Scott Garcia amongst others.
One of the UKG world’s most respected singer-songwriters, Sarah Etheridge’s vocals have found their way onto TS7 tracks ‘Nothing Left’, ‘Addicted’ and ‘Getting Out Of Hand’. She has also worked with K-Warren and, more recently, Para.
Launched last year by DJ EZ and his long-term friend and manager Paul Marini, NUVOLVE has emerged as one of the frontrunners in forward thinking UKG. The new imprint has already harnessed talent from some of the scenes legends such as Todd Edwards, Smokey Bubblin B and Club Asylum right through to up-and-coming future stars like SHOSH, MPH, Sampladelic, The Phat Controlla and Fabian Dubz. The label aims to truly encompass DJ EZ’s love for all forms of electronic music from garage to bass and everything in between.
‘There For You’ marks BWK and Sarah Etheridge’s first ever collaboration and, on this evidence, it’s unlikely to be the last.
